What you’ll be doing...

When you join Verizon for an internship, you will learn the trade and make important connections for the future. You will be trained by our senior engineers, trainers and managers to improve your knowledge of network technologies and gain insights into how the company operates overall. You will get to know and understand various areas of an IT business as you will have the opportunity to spend time with different teams. Finally, you will have an opportunity to put into practice what you have learnt at the university and with us by joining one of the teams in their work assignments.

• Learning network operation processes and melding your expertise into practical experience
• Proactively collaborating with team members, as assigned
• Processing root cause analysis of outages and network issues
• Monitoring ticket queue and following up to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution to user requests and incidents

What we’re looking for...

This internship program seeks intelligent, forward thinking, collaborative-minded, and adaptable university students in their final years of bachelor or master’s program with interest in network technologies.

You’ll need to have...

• Good level of English – both written and verbal
• Be in the final year of Bachelor or Master degree program within Information Technology
• Basic knowledge of networking (e.g., routing, switching)
• Availability to attend the internship 15-20 hours per week

Even better if you have one or more of the following...

• Cisco certification (e.g. CCNA)
• Deeper knowledge of network technologies (e.g. writing your thesis on a related topic)

Selection process for this internship will take place during the week of August 22.-26. And it will require your on-site attendance in the Ostrava office.
